Thousand Trails purchased KOA in Wauchula, Florida
Thousand Trails Inc., the largest operator of membership-based campgrounds in the United States, announced it has purchased the KOA Zolfo Springs campground in Wauchula, Florida. Situated along a half mile of the Peace River, the property offers more than 400 RV and tent sites on 75 acres. The mild climate and comfortable amenities will enable this campground to remain open year-round.
The Peace River campground will be designated as a NACO preserve, the park will also be available to members in the Thousand Trails and Leisure Time systems. Moderate preparations are necessary due to the hurricane season, but the Company anticipates the campground to be open to the membership as early as November 15, 2004.
