Active Military and Disabled Vets Camp Free on Veterans Day

Disabled veterans and active-duty military servicemen can camp free in Oregon state parks on Veteran's Day.

The fee waiver, approved by the 2003 Legislature, applies to 26 Oregon state parks that require vehicle day-use permits and to the rental of traditional campsites in 50 campgrounds. Soldiers and disabled veterans will still have to pay for reservations, extra vehicle campground parking and the rental of yurts, cabins and other overnight facilities. Full Story...
