Peach County, Georgia's exit 149 seeing big RV gains

BYRON, GA - The city's exit 149 is fast becoming a mecca for recreational vehicles.

The exit already is home to Mid-State RV Center, the largest Coachmen-brand dealer in the world, and Interstate RV Center Inc., a service center and campground.

More recently, Newcastle RV moved in just south of Mid-State RV on Peach Tree Parkway, and Suncoast RV, a dealer with 16 other stores across the nation, is building a dealership on Chapman Road south of Interstate RV.

Easy access and visibility from Interstate 75 is the primary reason that Newcastle RV located in Byron, said Randy Goodwin, general manager of Newcastle RV Sales of Byron. The company's headquarters and only other retail location is in Brunswick along Interstate 95.

"I want exit 149 on I-75 to be known as the exit (for RVs) from Canada to the Keys," Goodwin said. Full Story...
