‘We’re one big campground family’

People have come to revival services at Morrison Campgrounds all their lives

At 10:30 Saturday morning, it’s quiet at Morrison Campgrounds, except for crickets singing and the occasional disruptive titter of children playing.

The warm smell of summer dirt and grass fills the air of the 138th annual weeklong, multi-denominational revival services held at the campgrounds.

A bell rings, and people filter out of concrete and clapboard cabins, carrying hymnals, seat cushions and handheld paper fans. They gather under an arbor and sing. Full Story...
