Fire burns Motorhome and towed SUV
Fred Kressman, was on his way to a motor home rally when a wheel on his 2000 Chevrolet Suburban that he was towing went flat without his knowledge, he said.
The friction of the dragging tire caused a fire which quickly spread to the engine.
By the time Kressman saw the fire in his rearview mirror and pulled over, it was too hot for him to unhook the SUV, he said. The back of the motor home caught fire, and a hand extinguisher was useless against the flames. Full Story... (photo)
