Fleetwood recalling Motor Home workforce
Laid-off workers at the Fleetwood Motor Homes plant in Ralpho Township, PA, will return to work Monday, a spokeswoman said Friday.
Corporate officials announced in late January that the plant would be idled for two weeks due to seasonal slump in sales.
"Everybody's heading back to work," Fleetwood spokeswoman Kathy Munson said Friday.
There are about 525 workers at the Northumberland County plant, where all of Fleetwood's gasoline-powered motor homes are built.
When Fleetwood announced its third-quarter earnings report last week, company officials said early results showed that motor home sales, which make up a large part of its revenue, fell 23 percent. Full Story...
