Snowbirds begin to land in favored winter havens

BULLHEAD CITY - Interstate 75 serves as a conduit, sending thousands of retired Michigan residents south to Florida every winter. But many other Michiganders choose to head west instead and some pick the Bullhead City area.

In fact, all three Bullhead City RV parks surveyed report they get more visitors from Michigan than from anywhere else.

Chris Koscielski, who runs the front desk at Silver View RV Resort on Goldrush Road feels right at home with the Michigan snowbirds, having migrated here from Michigan herself four years ago.

After Michigan, she said the park draws its highest number of visitors from Minnesota. “We get a lot from Canada,” too, Koscielski said. Full Story...
