RV enthusiasts gather for Route 66 rally
Hundreds of motor homes rolled into the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival grounds in Indio on Wednesday, cautious of their blind spots, but revved up for a weekend of tailgate parties, seminars, happy hours and other activities.
The recreational vehicles - some as long as 45 feet and some costing in the millions - lined up en masse at the Western Area Rally called "Get Your Kicks On Route 66," which lasts through Sunday.
