Ford Pickup & SUV recall
Ford is issuing another recall of pickups and SUVs because of a problem with the cruise control switch. The 2003 version of the F-series pickups, the Ford Excursion and the Lincoln Blackwood, are all included. Ford says the switch system for the cruise control can corrode over time, overheat and cause engine fires. It had already recalled nearly six million vehicles from the 1994 to 2002 model years with the same problem.
