Proposed RV park to have upscale equestrian focus

Tryon Daily Bulletin - Tryon, NC, USA
Gus Meyers, Todd Parris and Chuck Piazza, owners of I-26 TGC LLC, plan a high-end R.V. Park with an equestrian focus.

The park, which will be called Carolina R.V. Resort, will sit on 80 acres of land in Campobello and will cater to self-contained motor coaches worth between $200,000 to $2 million. There will be no pop-ups or pull-behinds. The type of coaches allowed will be at the owner’s discretion.

“It’s going to be nice,” Gus Meyers said. “We’re keeping the setting.”

That setting will be somewhat equestrian-oriented for those who flock to events like the Blockhouse Steeplechase, Meyers said. The park will offer open pasture to those with horses.

The group plans to preserve 30 acres as wooded area, which will include nature walking trails. They will be expanding the pond on the property as well.

During the first phase of the plans, $250,000 to $300,000 will be spent on landscaping alone.
