Warm Weather Keeps Alabama's State Parks Busy

Nick Guinn, a park ranger at Lake Guntersville, said all 321 sites at the campground were filled over the weekend. Although many campers left Sunday evening and Monday because of their jobs, he expects to see it fill up again by this weekend.
The park's staff has been prepared for the campers, he said, but "we were surprised to see that many people still coming this time of year."
Guinn said there were not this many campers this time last year.
