RVer escapes motor home fire

Louise Grose believes there's a reason that she and her husband didn't perish Friday morning in a blaze of fire that engulfed their motor home, reducing the massive recreational vehicle to charred remains along a major Surry County thoroughfare.
"The good Lord was looking after us," Grose said as emergency personnel tended to what was left of their travel home.
Her husband, Richard, purchased on EBay from his West Virginia home about a month ago. They were traveling on Interstate 74 West around 10:45 a.m. when the engine caught fire.
