Kentucky Bill Offers Disabled Vets Free Campground Lodging

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Disabled military veterans would receive free lodging at state park lodges and campgrounds under a bill approved by the House Mar 24, 2008.

The legislation, which was approved 98-0, provides for up to three nights of free lodging each year.

Rep. Charles Siler, R-Williamsburg, is championing the proposal on behalf of the state's permanently and totally disabled veterans.

The proposal now goes to the Senate for consideration.

The legislation is House Bill 228.
