PA Campground beset by sewer problems forced to close

Berks County, PA - An RV campground, Appalachian Campsites near Shartlesville, beset by sewer problems and soil contamination will remain closed this year, according to several campers and the campgroundā€™s Web site.

The Web site provided no details but direct people to a sister site, Spring Gulch Resort Campground near New Holland, Lancaster County.

Regular campers at the 86-acre Appalachian Campsites off Interstate 78 said they received letters explaining that the facility closed because of on-site sewer problems.

The campsite is owned by Equity Lifestyle Properties, Chicago.
