Face-lift is plan for CA's Lake Jennings Campground

On the opening page of the Lake Jennings Campground Master Plan, one line sums up the state of the 96-site campground owned by the Helix Water District and run by San Diego County since 1966.
It says: “A little forgotten, a little neglected, Lake Jennings Campground has the potential to be a prime destination for RV tourists, locals looking for a weekend retreat, sunbirds, etc.”
On the pages that follow is a two-step plan that calls for the Helix Water District to first refurbish and modernize the 100-acre campground and then expand it and improve the perimeter of the 176-acre lake.
