Memorial Day Camping - Michigan and Great Lakes

Packing heat takes on a new meaning when you're looking at camping this Memorial Day weekend, when traditional summer kick-off weather may feel more like late fall or even winter at night, especially near Porcupine Mountains State Park, where yesterday it snowed.

But here's the good news. Some Michigan state parks and private campgrounds still have openings for their high-demand (heated) cabins or rental trailers.
