Camping at Texas State Railroad Park

Tickets on trains pulled by diesel engines are $34 for adults, $17 for ages 3 through 11. With steam locomotives, they're $38 and $21, respectively. Seating in a climate-controlled passenger car is an added $4 for adults and $2 per child.

Engine cab rides (one-way ride) are $250 for riders 18 and older.

Inside the Texas State Railroad Park: Campground and picnic areas are near the Palestine and Rusk depots. Palestine sites have restrooms and water but no shower facilities. Rusk has a campground with water, sewer and electric service, tennis courts and a fishing lake. Both have nature trails, group pavilions and grills.
