California RV Dealer Closing Due to Economy

Nationwide, RV sales have dropped about 70%, according to the store manager at La Mesa RV Centers in San Bernardino which is closing.

Bob Upton blames gas prices and the slumping housing market, which he says has prevented many people from securing financing.

'People had equity in their homes and things like that, that they used to buy an RV. So it's been a little bit of a challenge and that's the reason you see such great deals that we have right now.'

Prices have been slashed up to 50% to liquidate inventory by October.
