Campground opens at Sandy Springs, Ohio

The Sandy Springs Campground recently celebrated it's grand opening with it's first customer. The campground and park, located right along the scenic Ohio River, features 30 hookups, spacious pull through and back in sites, and private restrooms and showers.
"This has taken me about two and a half years to finish," said Henry Sloan, the campsites' owner and manager. "I've put about $260 thousand into the project so far."
Sloan isn't finished yet, however. He still plans to continue building onto the campsite and adding more attractions for his customers to enjoy.
"Right now I'm looking into building a large concrete boat dock onto the site," Sloan continued. "In the future I'd like to add on a basketball court, or maybe even a swimming pool."
The Sandy Springs Campground is located 20 miles west of Portsmouth on US 52. Rates are as follows: $20 per night; $100 per week; $250 plus electricity per month; and $1,200 plus electricity per year.
