Many Campgrounds Full For Holiday Weekend

Many July 4th celebrations center around a favorite past-time, camping.

For a while, it appeared the weather would get in the way. But folks are enjoying the outdoors rain or shine.

Campgrounds are trying to get out every camper that they can because this place has had a late start this year. Back in March, water was waste deep at the office of Crab Orchard Campground.

That means every single slot was under water.

Campground Manager Betty Rosenberger asks a camper the question, "so the rain's not going to scare you off today?"

He replied: "the rain never scares me off!"
