“Support our troops” is emblazoned on car bumpers, pins and T-shirts but Marcia Shields wanted to do smore than just wear the words.

“I can put a sticker on my car that says I support them, but really I’m not doing anything,” said Shields of Big Rock, Ill.

That’s why while attending the Escapees RV Club 30th annual RV Rally at Cam-plex, she joined 13 other volunteers in adapting clothing for wounded soldiers.

“It’s my way of giving back,” Shields said. “It’s not for the war, it’s for those who go out and fight.”
