Storm not par for the course

Lethbridge Herald - Lethbridge,AB,Canada
Storms continue to wreak havoc in southern Alberta, as high winds spawned by a large thunder storm cell gusted through the Bridge Valley Golf Course and Bridgeview RV Resort in the Oldman River valley late Friday afternoon, snapping trees and downing power lines within minutes.

Over at Bridgeview RV Resort, trees, branches and personal belongings were strewn all over the place, according to manager Adeline Murfin.
“We’ve got a bunch of trees down, people lost their awnings and one fellow’s windshield was smashed in. It’s not good,” she said of the strong windstorm that came on suddenly about 6 p.m.
“It was so dusty here, at one point that you couldn’t even see outside — just powerful winds. I have never seen anything like it.”
Getting ready to clean up the mess, Murfin noted they will wait until the storm passes.

“We don’t want to send anybody out here right now. The skies are very ominous and it’s raining.”
