Fall camping: ‘Tis the season

IONIA - Summer is nearing an end and soon the leaves of change will appear, but there is still time for residents to get out to area campgrounds to enjoy the fall.
For those wishing to get out and see what there is to offer, there are numerous areas for residents to camp in Ionia County, with parks and even campgrounds offering places to go.
One of these places is right outside of Ionia off of M-21 at Ionia County's Bertha Brock Park.
“The fall is certainly my favorite time of year,” Bertha Brock Park Manager Nicole Frost said.
Bertha Brock Park offers 20 rustic camp sites - meaning no electricity or showers - and several rustic cabins for campers to use. The sites have fire pits, trash cans and some of them have outdoor grills.
