FEMA to hold Recreational Vehicles Industry Day

Date: Thursday, October 30, 2008 beginning at 9:00 am.

Purpose: The purpose of this event is to provide a forum for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and its Joint Housing Solutions Group (JHSG) to engage with the Recreational Vehicle (RV) Industry in discussions on the current market conditions and capability of RV manufactures to build and deliver travel trailers with Indoor Air Quality measures of less than .016 PPM in formaldehyde.

Overview: On June 10, FEMA released the 2008 Disaster Housing Plan, detailing the agency's role in supporting local officials to meet housing needs for disaster victims this hurricane season. The plan also incorporates new and stringent air quality specifications and testing protocols for factory-built housing, which must fulfill state health requirements prior to their use.
