Weather slows work on state ATV park & Campground

BERLIN – A soggy summer put the brakes on trail development at New Hampshire's newest state park, but it did not stop ATV enthusiasts from around the northeast from riding what is already there.

The state purchased 7,200 acres for Jericho Mountain State Park nearly two years ago. The master plan developed last year calls for about 135 miles of trails crossing the property, as well as a 200-site campground and service facilities.

State officials expect to send out requests for proposals for development of the campground later this year, Gamache said. The state park's master plan calls for the campground to have 93 tent/pop-up site, 81 RV sites and 26 remote camp sites.
