Jayco to Close Indiana Motor Home Plant
Jayco Corp. plans to close its Entegra Coach subsidiary in Wakarusa and move production to its Middlebury plant, about 30 miles east of South Bend.

Jayco President Derald Bontrager says the closure in February will eliminate 134 jobs. He says the decision was due to the current recession and "a severe decline in the supply of credit."

Entegra makes high-end motor homes and fifth-wheel travel trailers. The company introduced a variety of new luxury products last week at the Recreation Vehicle Industry Associations annual trade show in Louisville, Ky.

Jayco also announced last month it would close its Starcraft trailer plant in Topeka, about 40 miles southeast of South Bend.
