Homicide detectives looking for motor home

The Columbian - Vancouver,WA,USA
Sheriff’s detectives in Cowlitz County are looking for a motor home that may have been used in the slaying of a man whose body was found along the Columbia River four miles west of Longview.

Jeremy M. McLean, 26, of Longview was reported missing on Dec. 29 and his body was found two days later. He’d been shot to death, according to bulletins from the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office.

Last weekend, detectives identified William Vance “Van” Reagan, 51, of Longview as a person of interest in the case. Portland police later found Reagan’s 1989 Lincoln at a Portland motel and arrested him and a girlfriend on unrelated drug allegations, a bulletin said.

Reagan hadn’t been charged in the slaying.

Detectives have other persons of interest and plan more arrests, the bulletin said Tuesday.

Police said they are looking for a motor home Reagan owns. It’s a 19-foot 1980 El Dorado, and likely has Washington license 551-NUQ.

The motor home is a smaller “Class C” model built on a van chassis. An unusual feature is a full-size door in the rear, a bulletin said.

Officers suspect the motor home may be in a storage unit or at an RV Park.

Anyone who locates it is asked to hold it to preserve evidence and call police dispatchers in Longview at 360-577-3098 or Detective Sgt. Joe Reiss at 577-3092.

Those who wish to be anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 360-577-1206.
