Indian Springs Resort & RV Park to Open
AMERICAN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — The Indian Springs Resort and RV Park in southeastern Idaho will open May 15, the new owner says.
Tom Henesh said he's completing a list of repairs on the property that has been vacant for more than three years but once drew visitors with its thermal water that stays at a constant 92 degrees.
In the 1970s, Henesh worked at the hot springs as a lifeguard and aims to restore it "like it was when I left in 1979."
County Commissioner Vicki Meadows remembered the facility's glory days.
"This is the best draw Power County has," she told the Idaho State Journal. "We've got the lake and the marina, and this just fits right in. I also grew up here and learned to swim in this pool."
