Shuffleboard diehards enjoy sport at RV Resorts

For the last 15 years, Sternberg has migrated from mid-Wisconsin's cranberry country to the cactus environs of Lost Dutchman RV Resort in Apache Junction for a late Fall to early Spring respite.

Sternberg, a slender, retired bricklayer whose enduring energy belies his age of 78, has recruited dozens to the game, a mission he enjoys as president of the resort's shuffleboard club and member of the Arizona Shuffleboard Association's board of directors.

He also directs tournaments, and he just finished managing the statewide single playoffs.
