Ford Cruise Control Fire Problem Still an Issue
A vehicle recall you may not have heard about that could put you in danger.
It's a national safety recall announced by Ford a few years ago that has affected many drivers since then.
A Boise home caught on fire last month and fire investigators say the cause was undetermined, but they say it started in or near a Ford F-150 parked in the garage -- a truck that is included in the recall.
Ford initiated the recall of certain pickup trucks, vans and cars a few years ago and has added additional vehicles to its list since then.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the vehicles contain a defective cruise control switch that could lead to a fire at any time, even while the vehicle is turned-off, parked and unattended.
