Monaco Coach firing 515 employees in Indiana

Monaco Coach Corp. is in the process of firing 515 employees at three facilities in Indiana.

The Oregon-based motor home maker made its job-cut announcement two weeks ago that it was giving termination notices to the majority of its 2,200-person workforce and may have to shut down unless the company is sold or gets more financing. At the time it didn't list which cities or facilities it was targeting.

Monaco is struggling due to the economic slowdown and reduced availability of consumer loans caused a plunge in sales of RVs.

The layoffs in Indiana are in Milford, Wakarusa and Warsaw.
