Fee increases for five campgrounds in the Shawnee National Forest become effective Sunday, March 15.

Fees for Pine Ridge, Pharaoh, Camp Cadiz and Pine Hills campgrounds will increase from $5 to $10 a night, forest supervisor Allen Nicholas said.

Fees for single family campsites at Johnson Creek will go from $5 to $10 a night, with double sites increasing from $9 to $12 and triple sites from $12 to $15.

The increases have been authorized by the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act of 2004.
