The Forest Service announced new campfire restrictions across Los Padres National Forest that go into effect immediately.

Building a campfire, or using a stove fire or barbecue, will be permitted only in approved recreation sites.

In the Ojai Ranger District, the fires are allowed only at these sites: Holiday Group Campground and Middle Lion, Pine Mountain, Reyes Peak, Rose Valley and Wheeler Gorge campgrounds.
