RV Rental: Why rent an RV?

The RV rental business is booming. RV rental agencies even reported a spike in rentals due the the popularity of the movie 'RV'. There are recreation outlets nationwide renting motorhomes, folding camping trailers and other vehicles, giving non-owners the opportunity to enjoy the fun and freedom of an RV vacation.

Vacation travel is the the number one reason people rent an RV, especially for those who believe the journey is as important as the destination. When you rent an RV, you have the flexibility to make your own travel schedule as you travel in complete comfort.

Affordability is a major reason why RV travel appeals so much to families according to the RVIA (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association). Even during this period of record-high gas prices, RV trips remain the least expensive type of vacation, according to a new study comparing vacation costs.

PKF Consulting, an internationally recognized consulting firm with expertise in travel and tourism, recently found that "typical RV family vacations are on average 26 to 74 percent less expensive than other types of vacations studied."

Even if saving money is less important to you, vacationing in a motorhme, travel trailer or fifth wheel, is a comfortable, convenient, stress-free way to travel, enjoy the great outdoors and spend quality time with your family.

Other reasons to Rent an RV:

If you are intrigued by RV travel renting a motorhome, fifth wheel or travel trailer, lets you experience the RV lifestyle, before committing to RV ownership. It's a great way to take an RV on an extended 'test drive' to see if RVing really is for you. Rentals also give you the opportunity to try various types of RVs and learn from actual experience which one is best suited to your particular needs.

Rentals also appeal to families who already know and enjoy the RV lifestyle but don't want the costs and responsibility of RV ownership.

Motorhomes, are a comfortable means of travel even if you don't intend sleeping in them. Even the smallest motorhome is much roomier than a car. If you have young children an RV can make travel more enjoyable even if you prefer to stay in hotels and motels over night. It's convenient to have snacks and cold drinks in your refrigerator. Best of all, maybe, is having your own clean restroom handy anytime you need it.

Motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels make great 'spare bedrooms'. Having too much company for special occasions? Add extra sleeping space and bath/toilet facilities with an RV rental.

Rent an RV for on-site hospitality at special events like automobile races and other recrational events.

Rental RVs make great mobile offices at temprary locations.
