Georgie Boy Redesigns Pursuit Motorhome for 2007

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. (May 2007)
RV manufacturer Georgie Boy completely redesigned the Pursuit Class A for 2007 to make it the perfect gas motorhome for those RVers who use their coaches for the short trip or weekend getaway.

"We listened to our customers about what they want in a gas motorhome. We used that information to develop a package of floorplans, features and options that make Pursuit different from other motorhomes and a more user-friendly choice," said Jim McConnell, general manager of Georgie Boy. "This is a very affordable motorhome with a MSRP beginning at $90,000, making it ideal for a young couple or a young family seeking that weekend getaway RV."

All five Pursuit models feature huge pass-through exterior storage 100 to 148 cubic feet, depending on the model. A switch on the inside of the coach lights up that exterior storage, making after dark searches easier. The storage is accessed by stamped aluminum, bus-style baggage doors, a feature often found only on more expensive coaches.

A convenient utility bay houses a whole-house water filter, water pump switch, water utility panel, a black tank rinse system, outlets and a cable jack. Holding tanks are heated and enclosed for multi-seasonal camping.

"The exterior storage and the utility bay are two examples of how Georgie Boy wants to give our customers motorhomes that are functional, as well as good looking," said McConnell. "When we consider new features on a coach, we ask the questions, 'Does it work?' and "Is it functional?'"

Georgie Boy employs the Ford F-53 chassis with its V10, 6.8-liter engine to power Pursuit. With 362 horses, Pursuit drivers have all the power they need to climb hills, merge with traffic or pass slower vehicles.

Pursuit is designed for maximum driver comfort and safety. The one-piece windshield and horizontal-mounted wipers improve driver vision, and a 7-inch rear vision camera gives a clear view of what's behind the coach.

Eye catching style sets the interior of Pursuit apart from the rest. There are three decor schemes to choose from Spice Valley, Manchester Mocha and Blue Bayou. Flexsteel driver and passenger chairs feature an extra wide design for added comfort. The sofa folds out into a bed at night for extra sleeping room in the living area. The 27-inch flat screen TV is standard.

In the kitchen, you'll find satin nickel hardware, a double-lever, high-spout faucet and a large double-bowl sink. The countertops are wood-edged in either Welbeck Birch or Brazilian Cherry. The pantry comes equipped with slide out drawers, making better use of space.

Georgie Boy fitted the dinette slideout with large windows to flood the coach with natural light. The light from the windows complements the 80-inch interior height, making Pursuit feel spacious and friendly. At night, fluorescent lighting brightens the living area and bedroom, a feature normally found only in more expensive coaches.

The flexibility of the rear super slideout on the 3540 DS offers you a choice of bunk beds, a convertible sofa that makes into bunk beds or an office area with desk and bookcase. A 15-inch LCD television with auxiliary hook ups makes the area idea for watching videos or playing games.

The 3100 DS and the 3150 DS are two very innovative floorplans. These double slide models are only 32 feet 7 inches long, making them very maneuverable for sporting events or weekend camping. Yet, both models offer 120 cubic feet of exterior storage, giving plenty of room if you want to take all of the kids' toys along.

Pursuit also offers more amenities than many diesel coaches. For instance, the 3150 DS has huge kitchen countertop storage and a side aisle leading back to the master bedroom. A large window fills the aisle with natural light. Another nice touch is the two entry doors to the bathroom; one from the master bedroom, the other from the side aisle.

Georgie Boy designers looked to the bedroom and bath to provide the most comfort. The large bedroom windows allow plenty of natural light during the day. The spacious wardrobe offers ample storage space, as well as a location for an optional 20-inch flat screen television.

With Georgie Boy's all new 2007 Pursuit, RVers have the perfect package for their weekend activities, whether that includes camping, tailgating before the big game or following the NASCAR circuit. Pursuit is the affordable coach to adventure.
