Jayco Shows New 2010 Recon ZX Toy Hauler

Available in a number of very liveable floorplan designs and three color options, the Recon ZX fifth wheel toy hauler can store large toys for every adventure – up to four ATVs, several motorcycles or a side x side.

The 2010 Recon ZX is now more liveable than ever with Polar Barrier™, a thermo insulation package that extends the camping season and increases options for winter travel destinations by providing full functionality during cold months. Recon ZX’s Polar Barrier, tested down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, includes a fully-enclosed underbelly, additional insulation in the main floor area and laminated roof and a high-capacity, high-efficiency furnace. The new Polar Barrier package adds to the insulation features already standard on the Recon ZX, such as the heated and enclosed Uni-Dock™ utility center.

The garage features an anti-slip, non-skid floor and ramp door with spring-hinge assist system. At almost 8 feet long and with a 2,500-pound capacity, the super-wide ramp makes it easy to load and unload large toys. Ten flush-floor mounted D-rings anchored to the frame hold 2,500 pounds each, ensuring toys will remain safely in place during journeys. Optional dual electric queen beds are easy to raise and lower to provide additional sleeping space.

With ample living and garage space, the Recon ZX not only provides plenty of room to store and transport toys but also a comfortable, homey place to unwind after a long day of having fun. Full-size kitchen, living and sleeping areas with trendy interiors and residential-style bathroom make the Recon ZX the only toy hauler that combines an expanded garage with upscale décor.

Standard features include a 3-burner range, oversized oven, washer/dryer prep, Sony® 32-inch digital LCD HDTV, Tow-Rax® work station, Stor-Galore™ basement storage, MOR/ryde® CRE-3000 suspension, cabinetry crafted with screwed stile construction and specially-designed Jayco ZX furniture.

The Customer Value Package includes many impressive features, such as 15,000-BTU central air conditioning, Provincial glazed maple cabinetry, Carefree® Travel’r 12-volt electric patio awning, rear stabilizer jacks, Sony Xplod® 12-volt AM/FM/CD/DVD stereo with iPod® adapter/charger and four Sony Xplod speakers. The optional Power Package comes with a power jump pack, power pressure washer and air compressor. Other available options include a Sony Xplod subwoofer and amplifier with exterior waterproof Sony exterior remote and 5,500-watt generator.

The Recon ZX is constructed using state-of-the-art materials, a 12-inch I-Class® cambered structural steel I-Beam frame, TuffShell™ vacuum-bonded laminated sidewalls, bead foam insulation in sidewalls and roof, vacuum-bonded 5-inch crowned laminated roof and welded tubular-aluminum sidewall and floor framework.
