KOA Kampgrounds of America Moves To New, Improved Reno, Nevada Location

BILLINGS, MT (March 30, 2007) ��� Campers looking for a great KOA Kampground in Reno, Nevada will have to start looking just a little further west than they did before.

Kampgrounds of America Inc. has entered into an agreement with the Boomtown�� Casino and Hotel Reno to operate Boomtown���s RV park just outside Reno. The park has 203 full-service RV sites and is located right next to the Boomtown Reno, overlooking the Truckee River just west of downtown Reno. The new park will now be called the Reno KOA at Boomtown.

For several years, KOA has operated the Reno KOA adjacent to the former Reno Hilton. That location has been designated for an alternative use by its new owners.

The new Reno KOA at Boomtown will offer campers more amenities and convenience than the former location. The Reno KOA at Boomtown has paved roads and RV pads along with plenty of grass and shade trees. It also has its own outdoor pool and spas, as well as WiFi access, cable TV, 24-hour security and easy access from Interstate 80.
There���s even a free shuttle from the park to the casino. RVers will also find gasoline, diesel and propane for sale conveniently nearby at the Boomtown Chevron Mini Mart.

���Reno has always been a fantastic location for KOA, and there is no way we wanted to leave the Reno market,��� said KOA President & Chief Operating Officer Shane Ott. ���We���re thrilled that we now have the opportunity to work with a first-class operation such as the Boomtown Reno.���

The Reno KOA at Boomtown will also be near the new Cabela���s store. Cabela���s announced in 2005 that it would be building a 125,000-square-foot store that will include a natural history museum adjacent to the Boomtown Casino and Hotel Reno. The store is slated to open in 2007. Outdoor enthusiasts are sure to enjoy the convenience of a KOA Kampground within walking distance of the newest location of the nation���s premiere outdoor retailer.
