Online Resume System Links Rvers to Employers
RVers looking to work while on the road can place their resume in the Awesome Applicant resume database which is searched daily by employers across the U.S.
The Awesome Applicants resume database was created in 2002 by Workamper News, a company who helps great people find great jobs in great places. The ability to place a resume in the online Awesome Applicants database is one of many tools provided to help the RVer find the best employer possible. RVers who utilize these tools are subscribers to Workamper News and are active or future Workampers. Workampers are defined as individuals, couples, and families who have chosen a lifestyle that combines any kind of part-time or full-time work with RV camping.
Workampers can log in to Workamper.com to create and edit their resume with ease. A step-by-step tool called the Resume Builder will guide the user through each section of the resume. The different sections included in the resume are Applicant Info, Work Settings & Compensation, Work Locations, Sell Yourself and Photos. A Workampers resume will be active in the database as long as they have a current subscription to Workamper News.
An important aspect to the Awesome Applicants resume is the availability date. Planning ahead is crucial to Workampers who are constantly traveling to different areas of the U.S. With other programs, you might have to hide your resume, but with the Awesome Applicants resume you can just edit your availability date. Frequent updates will allow employers recruiting for upcoming seasons to know you would be available for their operation dates. But, if a Workamper does find a more lengthy position, it is possible to hide your resume from the searching employers.
The Awesome Applicants resume database is searched by approximately 2,000 employers. "We have been home about a month and 'let's try it again' hit us. Within 48 hours of updating and moving our Awesome Applicant resume to 'active,' we had two replies," said the Tumbleweeds, a Workamping couple. The Awesome Applicants resume system can always be at work for you.
The Resume Builder tool also has a couple options for the Workamper who wants to be proactive. You can email your resume to any employer, whether they are a Workamper News subscriber or not. And you can print your resume to mail or fax it to a prospective employer.
An Awesome Applicants resume can be created any time once you are a subscriber to Workamper News. Other benefits of being a subscriber can also include: a bi-monthly magazine filled with hundreds of Workamping opportunities; a daily Hotline email with new job listings; full access to the Workamper News Forums site; ability to create a profile in the Workamper Community to make friends and stay in touch with other Workampers, and more.
